The DTA Foundation has received a Video Testimonial
from Dr. Terry Batliner of the University of Colorado Denver School of Dental Medicine,
and Anne Smith of Evolve Communications in appreciation of our grant award for the Public Service
Announcement campaign, "Una Boca Saludable". Click here

We are pleased to report that our
grant support for this oral health awareness campaign
leveraged additional funding for the PSAs,
more than doubling the number of television and radio segments aired.
Televised feature stories were aired in Colorado on Despierta America's morning show
and Noticias Univision Colorado.
The project also received significant coverage during Denver's 2008 city-wide Cavity Free by Three
event sponsored the Colorado Health Foundation.
The combined television and radio outreach achieved with this
campaign was almost 3 million messages during the first three months of 2008.
Please contact us if you'd like to make a DTAF contribution

Oral Care Access Scholars Program
The DTA Foundation's partnership with oral healthcare providers
to improve access to care has taken the spotlight and is setting
the standard for others in the industry.
One initiative, the
Oral Care Access Scholars Program, has distinguished itself by using
a highly effective, multidisciplinary approach to identifying some of the critical issues that underlie the disparities in
access to oral healthcare.
These issues are the building blocks for future agendas. Their focus represents the combined insights of renowned
scholars and business leaders who are striving to generate actionable solutions to disparity in public oral healthcare
delivery. The work draws attention to the relationship of oral health to systemic disease and overall wellbeing.
The program also serves as a catalyst for change by partnering with dental healthcare providers and dental schools and by
continually seeking to improve the process by which resources are provided to support the growing demand for oral healthcare
services and related products.
