In 2002, the members of the American Dental Trade Association (ADTA) and the Dental Manufacturers Association (DMA) began providing funds to
promising programs that could improve the access to, and productivity of, the oral healthcare system.
Soon after the Dental Trade Alliance was formed by the unification of the ADTA and the DMA,
the DTA Foundation was created to build upon these programs and seek new and innovative initiatives pursuant to the expansion of oral care access.
These ten programs received funds courtesy of the founding donors.
