DTAF and Robert J. Sullivan Family Foundation Create Dental Scholarships

The Dental Trade Alliance Foundation and the Robert J. Sullivan Family Foundation have partnered to create two $5,000 annual scholarships for third or fourth year dental students. Applications for the first year’s awards are due March 9, 2012.

Criteria for eligibility are determined by the applicant's demonstrated financial need, academic standing and history of charitable work. Applicants must be entering their third or fourth year of a dental school accredited by the Commission on Dental Accreditation, have demonstrated financial need, show a commitment to community service and be in good academic standing with their university. Scholarship recipients will be notified on or before May 15, 2012.

A Magical Evening of Thanks

The Dental Trade Alliance Foundation had a very special evening as we thanked our donors and honored our 2011 grant recipients.

The Third Annual ‘Evening of Thanks’ on Monday, November 28, 2011 at the Harvard Club in New York City offered networking with leaders of the dental industry. Entertainment by Ryan Oakes, featured on truTVs "The Real Hustle," Magic Monty, three card Monty, and more was enjoyed by all.

DTAF Thanks the Robert J. Sullivan Family Foundation
The Robert J. Sullivan Family Foundation has established a $25,000 restricted fund to support the efforts of the Dental Trade Alliance Foundation. It is the intent that the funds be used to benefit the area of dental education. The Robert J. Sullivan Family Foundation will be working with the DTAF to determine the appropriate opportunities for this fund.

The Board of Directors of the Dental Trade Alliance Foundation wishes to thank the Robert J. Sullivan Family Foundation for this generous gift that will help the DTAF further its mission of increasing the access to, and productivity of, the oral healthcare system.
